ENOUGH

UPDATE: Ok. Not quite enough on Catalano & Hirsch. We've received multiple reports of an FACDL (Motto: Pay your dues and don't bother us) Meeting last night :

Very funny because last night at the FACDL board meeting, Milt used words that had to be looked up. It got a few laughs.

By the way, he sat right next to Mike C and they had no problems with each other.

Rumpole says: This is welcome news. Both of these men are two of our finest members of the criminal defense bar in Miami.

We've had quite enough of Messrs. Catalano and Hirsch for a while.

Time to move on.

PD Sisselman reports that Lourdes Simon has been tapped by Governor Quisp to be our newest County Court Judge. Congratulations.

Boy has this week been tough.

most people who comment on this blog do so with reason and with respect for their fellow man. then there are some of you who just know how to throw insults. In all my time reading this blog, I have never seen Rump insult anyone, just state his point of view. It is really sad that as attorneys some of you just can't express yourself without the low blow insults.

9:27 Am- I am fairly certain I have insulted some Judges along the way.

I know I've tried.

  1. Many seem to have forgotten The Captain's Golden Rule, announced 12/10/09:
"... if you have nothing nice to say about someone then keep your mouth shut".

But then, could it be this rule only applies when someone writes something The Captain doesn't like about someone The Captain likes?

  2. Rumpole! I hereby demand you surrender your poisoned, purloined pen and cease and desist your pompous pontificating. Pronto.

    Remember: Bonum commune hominis

    Kindly act accordingly!

  4. Congratulations Judge Simon!

I was fortunate enough to have known Lourdes for more than 10 years and very lucky to have been able to call her my friend.

During that time, I tried quite a few cases with her including some with very serious and complex issues. One of the last hearings I did with Lourdes before I left the PD's Office involved a long and involved competency hearing on a client charged with first degree murder. The case included more than 12 doctors who traveled to testify from all over the state and a severely disturbed client. I watched as Lourdes handled it all with the utmost professionalism, preparedness, and grace. I was impressed with her abilities as much then as I am now. I am sure that her judicial demeanor will be just as wonderful. Just as I'm sure she will issue her rulings with as much thought and sense of fairness as she does in every other aspect of her life.

I'm very proud of you Lourdes!

  9. Milt and Catalano are like the wolf and the sheep dog on Looney Tunes...they smack each other around during business hours, but when they clock out it's like nothing ever happened.

  10. Fake Milton is none other then real Milton. Real Milton and Fake Milton are indeed and doubtlessly looney tunes, not in a good way either.
