Sorry we have to be one the one to break this to you.
Vice President Dick Cheney.....LIED when he was interviewed by the special counsel investigating the leak of the identity of CIA Agent Valery Plume. The NY Times has all the details here.
There is another blitz going on today. We hope it works.
Query: why does county court need a blitz? What causes the problems that the blitz remedies?
Speaking of football, the best football player on the planet is Ted Ginn of your Miami Dolphins. At least for this past Sunday he was. Two, count em J...E...T....S.. fans, two kickoffs taken to the house for TDs. 290+ return yards, second all time for one game. One hot dog eatin pretty boy QB planted in the turf, and all around a great Dolphin win!
TURN YOUR CLOCKS BACK.
If you're like us, then you're fascinated by time. We once went until Thursday until we actually turned our clocks back. But with appointments today in the Big Apple, we will awake for our morning workout at 6, and blissfully turn over as we set our clock back to five and sleep another hour. But then we must join the rest of the working world and set out clocks back an hour.
WANTED:
A small coterie of individuals to work as "12th Street Irregulars" and help report on the comings and goings on (not to mention more emails if possible) at 1351 NW 12th Street, while circumstances beyond our control require that we will be absent for the next few months. Discrete inquires gladly accepted.
Hey Rumpole,
ReplyDeletecheck out this article in the Herald about our courts mental health program. it seems like we're doing something right! http://www.miamiherald.com/news/southflorida/story/1310566.html?asset_id=1310244&asset_type=gallery
Just catching up on the County Court Discovery talk, from my point of view (which is pretty well informed):
ReplyDelete1. the policy of sending the witness list and not the a form or citation is not really a bugetary issue but rather that the SAO just does not have this paperwork in time from the cops and clerks, there are too many cases-- it takes the clerks forever to input this stuff in the system
2. there are no interns who copy these things, it's the secretaries.
3. most importantly, these citations and a-forms are all on the SPIRIT computer system, the PDs have one in their office, the SAO (available to defense) has a couple, the clerks have one for public access and all the county court rooms have them, so for everyone who says these items should be downloaded and sent tot he defense, the SAO is merely asking that the taxpayer funded technology be put to use and let the defese bar, especially the PDs use the terminals that we paid major $$$$$ for SPIRIT, use it.
4. the DUI maintenance/inspection docs are still on the SAO website for public and defense access.
5. the PD and SAO depo copying agreement does not contemplate this issue of copying a citation for the PDs, the PDs have everything the SAO does on SPIRIT, all county taxpayers who funded $$$$$$ the SPIRIT system should be demanding that the PD utilize this system to save us all scarce funding. Dont let it be like the Norditrac you bought in 1989 and used as a clotheshanger-- PDs, use your SPIRIT computers to get the citations and A Forms, its at your fingertips with the flip of a switch and the touch of a button, where do you all think the SAO dics come from ????? answer: the SPIRIT computer!!!!! ((or give the money back)) !!!!!!!!! signed, overtaxed dude
Fuck the JETS and their Whinny Coach...how's that for kicking your ass two times in three weeks???
ReplyDeleteBitches.
I hate New Yorkers.
The blitz got rid of thousands of DWLS cases and most were with a nolle pross or a very good deal so, back off.
ReplyDeleteRump,
ReplyDeleteWhat was your time?
9:34....the PD's office has only ONE SPIRIT computer, that most of the time does not even work...try sharing ONE computer with every attorney in that office....IT DOES NOT WORK
ReplyDeleteI'm sending s self-addressed stamped envelope to the NYC marathon office to get a list of all the participants. Rump will be in the list unless he/she/they used a fake name.
ReplyDelete9:34,
ReplyDeleteThe SPIRIT system would be great if private defense attorneys had remote access to it.
I know there's all sorts of confidentiality issues and many of those documents can't be publicly available.
But why not have a password type of system where the SAO can give the attorney of record a log-in to the particular case file.
You're right, the info is already there. Just give us access to it.
