Yikes!
It's a well known fact that the dear leader of that nuclear state often takes to wearing four inch lifts in his shoes.
The NY Times reports here that Russian Akula's (attack subs) are back off the eastern seaboard of the US.
And finally, a semi-well known South Florida muck-racker alleges that our chief judge is NOT listed on the Florida Bar website as an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Florida.
Go to the Florida Bar "find a lawyer" link here and check it out for yourself. Ask what Brown can do for you, and you'll get no response.
Stranger things have happened.
See You In Court. Licensed and ready to go.
UPDATE: Mystery solved:
He is listed under bar number 131231 and his legal name is Johill Harvey Brown but goes by the nickname of Joel H. Brown, which is perfectly fine.
2 Browns listed with Florida Bar

ReplyDeleteIt seems that the initial reports that one of our submarines was missing were not completely accurate. The submarine in question... is commanded by Captain Marko Ramius. Apparently he's suffered a kind of mental or nervous break down. Just before he sailed, he posted a letter to Admiral Yuri Padorin, in which he announced his intention to, to fire his missiles on the United States.
ReplyDeleteHalsey acted stupidly.
ReplyDeleteFORT LAUDERDALE - To the South Florida gay community, Jonathan Bleiweiss was a pioneering, openly gay Broward sheriff's deputy who fought discrimination within that agency earlier in his career.
ReplyDeleteBut court documents released Tuesday portray Bleiweiss, 29, as a manipulative sex offender who preyed on illegal immigrants too scared to contact authorities. He would act like a jilted lover when the men would not return his calls or text messages, according to those records, based on victims' accounts.
One man said Bleiweiss fondled him and whispered Spanish obscenities before molesting him. After the incident, Bleiweiss allegedly continued to call and text message the man days later, pressuring him to meet up again.
"Que pasa, amigo?" read one message after the man did not reply.
Bleiweiss would ask those he stopped for License, Registration, and what is that big chimmichanga you have in you pants big boy? Que?
Sources indicate that North Korean Dear Leader Kim Jong Il has required as a condition of the journalist release that and former US President Bill Clinton tutor the him on how to pick up chicks. Kim specifically asked Clinton what were his chances with Britanny Spears and Jessica Simpson. In a jesture of good will Clinton counseled the North Korean leader on his fashion sense and to lose the leisure suits. Kim also asked the President how to best manuver for a "Lewinski." Clinton promised to dispatch with all deliberate speed "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis to assist with this new beginning in US-North Korean relations. When asked to comment, Secretary of State Hilary Clinton remarked. "that cheating bastard has stolen the limelight again. Why can't he just stay in Vegas where he belongs."
ReplyDeleteI thought long and hard about posting the 6:37 comment. The final lines are stupid and offensive. Making fun of sexual assault is downright awful. However, I endeavor to remain above the fray and attempt to post almost everything with the exception of a few limited circumstances. But I welcome your thoughts on this.
ReplyDeleteAlong those lines I did not post one comment showing Judge Brown's page in the on line bar site because it appears to show an address that is not a court address. Someone should tell Judge Brown to change his Bar info because it appears to show a private residence.
Now that we are on the subject, why S.Dist. Chief Federico A. Moreno listed as "not eligible to practice in Florida?" Shouldn't he instead be listed as a "member of the judiciary?"
ReplyDeleteRumpalooza!!!! It is our distinct pleasure and high honor to assist with the wonderful word "Dross". Forgive us for taking so long, as we are at the Wordsmith's Convention in Portland, Oregon, and have not checked the blog in a few days.
ReplyDeleteDROSS:
Etymology: Middle English dros, from Old English drōs, dregs
Date: before 12th century
1 : the scum that forms on the surface of molten metal
2 : waste or foreign matter : impurity
3 : something that is base, trivial, or inferior.
It is the third declination that most appropriately applies to the post in which you used this wonderful word.
not true 9:23- we checked. Federico Antonio Moreno is listed as eligible to practice law in the State of Florida.

On a side note, does anyone know why Maria fired her fourth JA and had her escorted out of the courthouse?
ReplyDeleterumpole: I just checked again and Moreno appears ineligible.

ReplyDeleteYou posted this same question in the comments section of yesterday's posting. See my response. I repeat - You really are a piece of work.
You are correct: Judge Moreno has chosen Inactive status. I am assuming his position as a federal Judge does not require him to be an active member of the Florida Bar. Judge Moreno is a member in good standing who has chosen Inactive Status. He may apply at any time to become active. Having a lifetime appointment to the Federal Court probably means he picked his last jury as a lawyer many decades ago.
ReplyDeleteSee below:
c) Inactive Members. Inactive members of The Florida Bar shall mean only those members who have properly elected to be classified as inactive in the manner elsewhere provided.
Inactive members shall:
(1) pay annual membership fees as set forth in rule 1-7.3;
(2) be exempt from continuing legal education requirements;
(3) affirmatively represent their membership status as inactive members of The Florida Bar when any statement of Florida Bar membership is made;
(4) not hold themselves out as being able to practice law in Florida or render advice on matters of Florida law;
(5) not hold any position that requires the person to be a licensed Florida attorney;
(6) not be eligible for certification under the Florida certification plan;
(7) not vote in Florida Bar elections or be counted for purposes of apportionment of the board of governors;
(8) certify upon election of inactive status that they will comply with all applicable restrictions and limitations imposed on inactive members of The Florida Bar.
Failure of an inactive member to comply with all requirements thereof shall be cause for disciplinary action.
An inactive member may, at any time, apply for reinstatement to membership in good standing in the manner provided in rule 1-3.7.
Is it my imagination or has Tom Cobitz slipped up more than once recently before the traffic lawyers and admitted in an off handed way he is Rumpole? Will this get posted???
ReplyDeleteFake Jack Thompson, J.D., M.D., Ph.D., D.D.S, D. Div., LL. D., Psy. D., Pharm. D, D.O.
ReplyDeleteFolks:
There is no Rumpole listed on the Florida Bar website. Therefore, I must assume that Rumpole is practicing law without a license.
I will shortly be filing complaints with The Florida Bar as well as all federal, state and local officials. I will kill at least 20 trees and crash at least 3or 4 computers with all the shit I will send them.
Very truly yours,
Fake Jack Thompson
can we start a separate blog for those that want to mine the florida bar website and research judges?
ReplyDeleteVery funny Fake jake...,made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteI was there ...Cobitz slipped up and then it was apparent he was Rump. He turned red...and then tried to recover and move on. But the damage was done. Admit it Tom..you had a good run.

I know Ramius. He’s been a maverick his entire career. I actually met him once at an embassy dinner. Have you ever met Ramius, General?
I heard this from one of the bailiffs a few weeks ago but thought it was a joke. Judge Dennis got mad at her JA and fired her for not performing her duties to Judge Dennis's expectations. After being scolded and fired, the JA began crying and that caused Judge Dennis to be in fear, prompting Judge Dennis to order her now former JA escorted to her car by bailiffs.
ReplyDeleteUhmmmm..... and No, not every post referring to Judge Dennis should automatically be attributed to Judge Miller. Maria keeps the conversations at happy hour very entertaining with all her scandal.
