COME ON IN

Reports indicate that the rear entrance to the building (no smart remarks please) is now open and working after being closed for maintenance while they assisted some individuals in bringing cannons into the building. Not strictly a firearm, cannons  are apparently not among the items like hairspray and nail clippers that are banned from the REGJB.

It has been strictly mayhem for the past two days as the entire population of inhabitants of the REGJB was funneled into the front holding pens pending security screening.   However, we have been assured that things will be back to normal tomorrow  for the Wednesday misdemeanor  sounding blitz. Which means..... don't hold your breath and bring a newspaper to read while standing in line.

However, he still acted like a putz on national TV in the Anna Nicole Smith case.

Here's veteran Miami ASA Howard Rosen's close out memo. Seidlin is not facing criminal charges, but Rosen recommends a referral to the Florida Bar and the JQC for the small, tiny, but troubling fact that Seidlin and his family received over $400,000.00 in gifts from an 82 year old woman that Seidlin forgot to report on his yearly judicial reporting forms.

We may not know much, but an elderly and lonely woman bestowing over $400,000.00 in gifts appears to us  more than a bit fishy. Shame on you Mr. Seidlin. Shame shame shame.

Wow. Lots going on. And we're not even going to mention that two teams are battling it out for the college national championship right here in South Florida Thursday night. Who's going to the game?

Not us. Our college doesn't even have a football team. Anymore. (Wow. Talk about a hint.)

See You in court.

  4. rump has given it away, big time. Phil R. went to Boston University and allegely played there as a lineman. the "teriers" no longer have a football team. plus, he is a county court guy which explains his obsession with Kiddy Kourt.

  7. Rump, as we enter mid-week, I just cannot believe that since those giddy, hot, muggy, sweaty days in August, I can no longer look forward to Shumai at pre-game parties, and these wonderful words....

AND THAT'S ANOTHER MIAMI DOLPHINS FIRST DOWN.

I'm in the middle of a serious case of winter blues.

  9. BU? Let's not jump to conclusions ... certainly 1997 was the final chapter in the BU football experience, but see this page for a list of all the defunct college football programs:

  11. If you come to my office, you will see my College Diploma hanging. I am a proud NYU Violet. We used to have a powerhouse basketball team in the 1950's. And I think maybe in the early part of the 20th century they may have had a football team. But I'm not sure that's what Rumpole had in mind.

  13. I nominate PD CARLOS MARTINEZ for the first SHUMIE AWARD of 2009.

For running for an office you clearly do not know how to run, and then for paying your former boss to help you run it, and for using OUR TAXPAYER MONEY to pay for your incompetence, CARLOS MARTINEZ GETS THE FIRST SHUMIE OF 2009.

    SHUMIE2009-0001=CARLOS MARTINEZ.

  14. It is funny that the Miami SAO could not find a single DUI case that the judge tried when he was a county court judge in criminal before he was a circuit court judge. I guess they missed that.

I guess the Miami SAO did not have good investigators working on the Seidlin case.

  15. I was had a real problem with the $280,000 plus money given directly to the Judge by the elderly lady. In one payment it was for $130,000 to pay off his mortage. That was most depressing. I thing the SAO got it right when they said she was a dear close friend of the family whom there daughter called gramdma.

Side note: The elderly lady is worth over six million dollars, so for her to dish out $280,000.00 to friends is just a piss in the bucket for her. Had that been her life savings I would think another SAO result may have been warranted.

  16. Listen:

I am sick and tired of falsehoods on this site.

Phil R. did not go to or attend NYU. My investigator checked with the registrar there and they have no record of him being an NYU "violet". Phil, come clean. You attended law school in the Caribbean because you could not get into a U.S. law school. The Bar has you listed as having gone to Acme Technical College in Houston, Tx for undergraduate with a certificate in veterinary technology.

Come clean or the Broward State Attorney shall investigate forthwith.

  20. Thanks for the hint. That combined with your comment (a year ago?) about doing boxing training at the now defunct 5th street gym has confirmed that I know who you are (but as I said back then, your secret is safe with me).
