5:00PM FRIDAY: As per our email with the powers that be, Court is officially open Monday, pending the results of the CANES/GATORS game tomorrow night.

OUTCRY OVER BLAKE'S ORDER:
Lots of press for Judge Blake's decision relieving the Public Defenders of all 3rd degree felonies. Legal experts from all over the country have weighed in on the decision.
Justice Cantero left the Supreme Court bench in Tallahassee on Thursday. The Herald reports here.
We don't have any inside information, so this is just a shot in the dark. But something tells us that the bigger problem the Republicans have with their Vice Presidential candidate is the Governor's husband. And we have a nagging suspicion someone is sitting on information that they will drop within the next few days.
CNN'S DAILY PRESIDENTIAL POLL FOR 9/4/2008
Help me Rumpole and blog readers - I am a civil lawyer who has won several big class action cases.
ReplyDeleteThe issue: Should I buy a Bentley GT Coupe or the GTC convertible? Also, please help me with the color combination. Do you like black/black?
Please help. This is important and I can't make a move without your advice.
Hey rump, can you post the text of Sarah Palin's speech?
ReplyDeleteyIKEs!
ReplyDeleteBlake's decision will do nothing more than run up taxpayer costs. Third degree felonies close quickly and take little to no time.
ReplyDeleteAdditionally, case loads are no where near what they once were and the highest level cases
(the ones that take the most time) are much more clear cut (DNA anyone?).
Regardless, we all know that a huge number of PDs don't work as hard as they should and vacate the office by 3:00 pm as it is. What a waste of money.
BTDT
the dade county pd's office has become weak.
ReplyDeleteThis was the NACDL Press Release. You have the Miami Herald article on the issue under the NACDL link.

oh please, cat 4 storm, I'll be in my office, at the jails. You all are weak. Let me guess, they're going to close the courts for a 140 mph storm. Unreal
ReplyDeleteSigned,
angry at the world
You don't have any inside information, and it's just a shot in the dark....wow, counselor. Is that admissable? OF COURSE something will "drop" soon about the governor, because her enemies will not cease simply throwing untruths out there, and you will not likely cease wanting to believe.
ReplyDeleteArcXIX and Andrew Sullivan on demands for maternity verification, slashed funding for a teen pregnancy shelter, slashed funding for teen education funding, the infamous "list" of every book ever band, etc., all "dropped" on the governor and all completely made up by bloggers, repeated by the gulible NYTimes (they want to believe too) and then smacked down as rather shabby fabrications rather quickly.
So of course something will "drop soon". It would be crazy to think that something won't.
Reading your statement that you don't have any inside information and are shoting in the dark reminds me of my daily dealings with DCF. They too are willing to destroy people with nothing more concrete than "issues" and "concerns" and a little hearsay now and then.
Now more cases will go to the JAC which is full of 3rd rate hacks afraid to try cases!!

The Ghost of Sleepy B
To the civil lawyer who needs help choosing which Bentley to buy, definitely go with the convertible in black/black. That way we can all have a good chuckle as you drive down the street with the top down and your cheap hairpiece flapping in the wind. Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteWill someone verify that the word of the day is IKE?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for ike! During andrew i got a free lawnmower, some outdoor furniture and a few odds n' ends that blew into our yard. I wonder what free stuff will blow my way during Ike.
ReplyDeleteLike in Andrew I will drag my elderly relatives to the center of the storm in Homestead. Heck Miami Beach is just too dangerous.
"We don't have any inside information..."
ReplyDeleteThere you go again with the unintentionally hilarious stuff.
Just stay with your football picks and mean-mouthing prosecutors and judges. You're very good at those.
Rump- I'm preparing for the storm- should I buy the Q-70 Generator from Home Depo? Endorsed by the Q- 10 kw, $2999.95.
ReplyDeleteOr the EASY E GENERATOR 12kw, ez push button start, but cheaper 1999.95,endorsed by the Easy E?

Rump, RE: last night at my penthouse.

SHE BROUGHT HER FRIEND.
Just took a shower. They left. I'm exhausted. Thank the lord for Cialis.
RUMPY: BREAKING NEWS! BREAKING NEWS!

ReplyDeleteWE INTERRUPT THIS PROGRAM TO BRING YOU THIS UPDATED BREAKING NEWS:
ReplyDeleteClose friends of SFL are stating the Princess was shagging the hot shot defense attorney behind SFLs' back.
1:10-- have you tried Elmer's School Glue? It prevents my hairpiece from flapping in the wind.
ReplyDeleteCialis? is that medication for herpes or delusional bragging/wishful thinking?
ReplyDelete2:21, My mother-in-law is celebrating her birthday next month. I'm hoping Ike blows a couple of good lawn chairs my way.
ReplyDelete7:56, Hate to burst your bubble, I saw the Princess with SFL at Tobacco Road. I witnessed her lighting his cigar. (The girl knows how to strike a match)
