I CAN'T HELP MYSELF

Wasting money on elevators is really bugging me.
My obsession has now spread beyond our own humble building.

ELEVATORS

I obviously need help. Plus, nothing else is going on. But fear not, our collection of robed readers in situ loci and North Of The Border are sure to help out shortly.

  1. Lets just rip the new insides right of the walls of the elevators. At least then the ""Rump" man will shut up about it.

  4. The motion to recuse did not escape me. I reviewed it - it's BS and I decided not to post it because it is unfair to the judge. Just because someone makes a ridiculous allegation does not mean I need to publish it.

  5. From the DBR May 15, 2008 re:Court Funding

"Judges are exempt from the cuts as constitutional officers. Their judicial assistants, senior judges, top court administrators and chief court technology officers also will not face cuts under an $11.5 million salary reduction."

  6. How do you KNOW it's BS Rumpole? Plus it's a public record after all????

  7. I didn't print your comment but please tell the the other ridiculous allegations you are talking about. I have stopped letting people just publish anything and I have cleaned up most of the outstanding comments.

  8. If the prosecutor is trying to put your butt in a french frier
is there really any other attorney to hire than Andy Rier?

Unless your client is in the right
then why not hire Jay White?

Congratulations to Jay WHite as the new President of the Florida Bar. And his former partner Rick Freedman is now president of Miami FACDL.

Jay and Rick- old PDs now making good. Congrats guys.

  9. Wrong Jay White A-Hole.

  10. No. I'm pretty sure Jay White is the new president of the Florida Bar. And may I just say how great it is to have a small criminal defense attorney practitioner as president. Someone who understands our needs and concerns rather than those corporate big firm bigwigs.

Way to Go Jay. Don't let the non-believers get you down. They're just jealous.

  11. The only thing Jay A White is doing rght now is fishing in the Bahamas.

And I just saw Rick Freedman on Channel 10, but it wasn't for FACDL. Something about Kiwanis and them giving a 5th grader student a college scholarship.

  14. THE CAPTAIN REPORTS:

The Florida Supreme Court was busy this week, and one of our local attorneys, unfortunately, made the list:

Robert Alvarez Rudolph, 8027 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, disbarred, effective immediately, following a March 6 court order. (Admitted to practice: 1993) Rudolph will also pay restitution of $2,500 to one client. In June 2005, Rudolph was paid $2,500 by a couple as a retainer to file a post-conviction motion. In November of the same year, Rudolph spoke with the clients and told them that a post conviction motion was being finalized and would be filed shortly. It was never filed. The clients made numerous requests for Rudolph to provide billing invoices, but Rudolph neglected to do so. He has a past discipline history of three admonishments and two suspensions. (Case No. SC07-364)

    CAPTAIN OUT .....

  15. Rudilph:Three admonishments and two prior suspensions. Why is it "unfortunate"he mad the list from the Supreme Court. He is just the type of an attorney that give the public the ammunition to believe that attorneys are thieves and do little for thier clients. We must clean up our profession/we are supposed to be honorable. Was this attorney honorable or dispicable and a real crook/sheister?I say he is a crook!!!

  16. More than one Jay White is Florida. Bar president is a civil lawyer up north, NOT the criminal solo practitioner here in Miami.

  17. The Florida Bar President-Elect is John G. “Jay” White, III, a shareholder, director and partner in the West Palm Beach law firm Richman Greer, P.A. His practice is primarily devoted to commercial and complex business litigation, personal injury, wrongful death, professional malpractice litigation, class actions and officer and director representation.

  18. Okay Rumpole,

Let's see if you comment on the following. It involves a judge for whom I believe you have high personal regard.

I read the paper this morning and can not help but mention the article regarding the fine job Nushin Sayfie is doing in Juvenille Court.

I am no fan of DCF however, to put a child in the same enviroment as its twin who died under suspicious circumstances is absurd.

This is just another example of people being placed on the bench who are incapable of pulling the trigger and doing the tough thing. Judges are not social workers. They are there to make rulings that may at times rub against the grain of their social leanings, but are in the best interests of public.

As I have always said, many who seek the office think this is an easy job. It is not and before you take it on you have to butch up and be prepared to cause a little pain at times.

One child is dead, thank God another is not.

  19. "One child is dead, thank God another is not."

So where was God when the first child died? Busy installing Humvee armor in Iraq? Making sure a home run cleared a fence? Teaching George Bush about appeasement?

And if your God had a reason to take the child, what was the judge to do? Enjoin the action?

Think about what an irrational statement you've made.

  20. It is very easy to blame the Judge, but what happened to blaming the DCF lawyers who don't know how to put on a case?
