PREDICTIONS

Between Planes.
Blogging on the go.

Republicans:
Huckabee edges out Romney. End in sight for Mitt as McCain wins New Hampshire.

Democrats.

Three candidiates in a statistical heat. Nobody talks about the third: Edwards. He comes in Second. Obama wins. Clinton disappointing third. She gets creamed in New Hampshire and all of the sudden needs a win in South Carolina.

We shall see.

  1. Rumpole...On the issue of the SAO...it's incredible what is going on there....staff is constantly second guessed in their decisions and actions, dirty looks are the norm...if you are asked (or interrogated) by superiors you are regularly cut off when giving explanations and old mistakes are brought up to use as attack fuel against you....if someone from outside lies and you are being lied about....forget about defending yourself, IT'S YOUR FAULT. staff is treated like shit...I can only imagine the attorneys....it's all politics...and the illegal use of email is rampant...Tony Jimenez I had heard about..the women from what I heard, loved him...people thought he was a nice guy and good attorney, Herb seemed sexually repressed (and thus the resulting "explosion"); the county attorneys, if it is true they accepted gifts in exchange for nolle prosse, deserve no mercy...if it is otherwise...then it's just another example of the totalitarianism that exists in that office...there are rumors that gift giving is much more prevalent in that office than people let on; it's sad when you wake in the morning and dread going to work..and incredible how many sides to ALL stories exist...SENDING RESUMES AND CROSSING MY FINGERS...MORE TO COME....

  4. Is the SAO really such a horrible place to work as a young lawyer?

  5. No, the SAO is a GREAT place to work. Just avoid the politics, follow your conscience, learn from every experience, and you'll have fun doing it and make an important contribution to our community.

  6. Yes, the SAO is that bad for young attorneys. But, most like their jobs despite the office B.S.

  7. Great place to have a conscience until a victim complains and a police officer goes over your head. Then its CYA with supervisors denying involvement and tossing out young ASA's as sacrificial lambs.
