State v. George Cholakis
Charged with DUI/SBI, he is being defended by Richard Sharpstein and Gene Zenobi. Report set for April 9th and trial set for April 21, 2008.
That case will probably go into 2009 before it is all said and done.

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw Rumpole's post on the first arrest of '08, I immediately remembered the first arrest of '07 and was wondering if someone would mention it, not being able to leave well enough alone.
And there you are, using your time as usual to post trivial information found by scouring the Herald and election websites.
Why don't you go full blast into your role and post the mistakes and failings of every single person in the REGJB, you would make so many of our colleagues happy who come here to enjoy poundcing on everyone else, forgetting how much their own life sucks.
Do everyone a favor in the spirit of the new year and remove your comment. And Rumpole, stop giving this yenta unlimited access to the blog.

several people wrote to say the "bfile" is the blind file section. OK- if cases are blind filed what do they need a section for. I just envision a large wheel in the back of the clerk's office. They get a file, spin the wheel, and the unfortunate client gets sent to Judge Adrien.

ReplyDeleteYou have to be joking or, if you are not Adrien, you are just as delusional as he is. An example of his delusional thinking is, as incompetent as he is, this guy had the chutzpah to apply for the Federal Bench.
I PROMISE he will not run unopposed. It is more than likely there will be more than one opponent. They are already lining up. He won't even make it out of the primary.
Of course there is the possibility that knowing he is doomed to defeat, he actually might do the right thing and just not run. Then of course no one would be running against HIM.
But enough of that, because absent a miracle, we still have to deal with this idiot for another 1098 days.

ReplyDeleteCases are blind filed to section numbers (or as we call them "division numbers"), not judges. This way, the cases always remain in the same division, regardless of who the presiding judge is at the time.
