CLUE

IT WAS THE CORRECTIONS CAPTAIN

IN THE LIBRARY

WITH THE CANDLESTICK.

A Miami Dade Corrections Captain was arrested on domestic violence charges of attacking her boyfriend with a candlestick.
HERALD

NFL TONIGHT

Da Bears rumble into DC to play the Redskins who have had only one day of practice this week after burying their team mate Sean Taylor in Miami on Monday.
The Skins are three point favorites and while we would othewise avoid this game, the Skins are better than the Bears. If you need action tonight, lay the three points and put your feet up and have a couple of cold ones. Tomorrow is Friday and that means it is close enough to the weekend to start drinking.

  6. That would actually be a very good defense team, and any defendant who got both David Markus's to work on their case would have two of the very smartest lawyers in the State if not the country.

  7. LOCAL DOG DETAILS ABUSE- AUTHORITIES TO INVESTIGATE

The pooch of a well known criminal defense attorney spilled his guts this week to a "dog psychic" and the tale was a horrific one of left overs from the Palm, warm water from the tap in his bowl while the family sipped evian, and problems with other dogs in the swanky pinecrest area of town. Rumor is that the ASPCA is looking into the allegations that the dog's bed was covered with sheets with a thread count of less than 200.!!!! Shocking stuff, but when it comes to neglected animals, you have to be tough to hear all the details.

  9. Rump, remember, saying nice things about any lawyer makes certain people very very angry.

  10. When is the JNC interviewing next for the Judge Bach's vacancy? Any word on these newcomers, as I'm tired of seeing the same ol' gang sending in their applications (as I'm sure the JNC is too).

Either way, it looks like the Gov enjoys seeing people with criminal litigation backgrounds, although there's some more civil lawyers this go round. I think some of these newbies have criminal backgrounds to start before jumping to the civil side, presumably for the the big $.

  11. Uhm, didn't you post your pick at halftime of the game?

  12. Hey Rump: Markus was quoted approvingly today by none other than Glenn Greenwald:

  13. No I did not post my pick at half time. Here's how you can tell:

    1) look at the first comment- its at 6:15 PM, shortly after my poost went up.

2)Granted my post is LABELED 10:34 PM. But look at the first post yesterday- It was obviously up all day and is LABELED 10:33 PM. Why? Because Blogger sucks and it does werid things to my posts for some unknown reason. I can manipulate the time of the post, so what happened is I posted the football pick, checked on it, and because it still was BELOW the first post of the day, I had to go back, edit the post and change the time to one minute past the earlier post of the day.

But I appreciate that you are a careful reader and are keeping me on my toes to make sure no monkey business is happening. I am an officer of the court, and we can't do things like that, right?

  15. Breaking Blog News:

Authorities have determined that Shumie's paripatetic pooch is suffering from SAD- seasonal affect disorder, which is commonly seen in pinecrest pooches this time of year when the stress of the holidays and the pressure to buy and live in a bigger, larger dog house, then his pinecrest neighbors, often gets dogs down in the dumps.

A regimen of alpo and paxil has been prescribed and the prognosis is guarded but hopeful.
