SUNDAY'S GAMES

FOR FUN ONLY

We went 3-0-1 last week. So riding our hot streak, we offer these select picks for your fun ( and profit).

Lots of home dogs this week make the picks a bit tough:

Jets -2 over the sinking Fins. Jet have the better coach, and are the better coached team.

Philly -3 visiting the Saints. Hate picking against a home dog, but Philly is the real deal.

Bengals -4 over Tampa Bay. Always pick against a rookie QB if you can.

Under 43 (haven't lost an over/under pick yet this year) Giants and Falcons.

Good Luck- but don't stop practicing law because of our success just yet.

  2. WELCOME TO THE BLOG - TO HONOR OUR FIRST ANNIVERSARY WE ARE INSTITUTING ASSHOLE OF THE MONTH AWARD- NOMINATIONS WILL OCCUR FOR 2 WEEKS - 1 WEEK OF ANALYSIS AND REVIEW -THEN THE ASSHOLE WILL BE NAMED. THE DIRECTION THIS BLOG HAS GONE IN AND WHAT IT AMOUNTS TO NECESSARILY LEADS TO THIS PROGRESSION. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE FIRST ASSHOLE TRULY BE AN ASSHOLE SO CAREFULLY CONSIDER YOUR NOMINATIONS. NOMINEES MUST CURRENTLY OR HAVE IN THE RECENT PAST PRACTICED LAW IN THE JUSTICE BUILDING, INCLUDING JUDGES. LET'S GET HIS PARTY STARTED. PLEASE CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING IN MAKING YOUR NOMINATIONS: THE LEVEL OF SELF-AGGRANDIZING BEHAVIOR OF THE ATTORNEY, HOW MUCH MORE HE THINKS OF HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS THAN HIS PEERS DO, HOW MUCH HE PUTS DOWN AND HAS NEGATIVE THINGS TO SAY ABOUT OTHERS-ESPECIALLY IF HE HAS NEVER EVEN SPOKEN TO THAT PERSON OR HAS FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE OF THEIR ETHICS AND COMPETENCY, AND OF COURSE HOW DOES HE TREAT OTHER PEOPLE-INCLUDING CLIENTS, COLLEAGUES AND COURTHOUSE PERSONNEL. SINCE THIS BLOG OFTEN IS VERY BORING THIS SHOULD SHAKE THINGS UP.

  21. richard sharpsteen was in the herald today so I want to trash him, and I see eiglarsh was quoted in the 1995 story on rothenberg so I want to trash him too - gotta bring people down to my irrelevant level quick

  22. Maybe people criticize lawyers who have the herald in their pocket not out of jealously but pity that that is how they have to make themselves get business or feel good about themselves- by tooting their own horn at every opportunity. They also are the types of lawyers who, in order to retain a client, say all kinds of negative things against other defense lawyers in the privacy of the initial attorney client interview.

  23. Lumping Sharpstein together with Eiglarsh is totally unfair. Richard talks a big game, but backs it up.

  24. Michael von zampt makes the blog-wow. another lawyer who actually tries cases and was good at it gets criticized by 28 year olds who think they are big time because they got two sale of cocaine convictions in a row or got an armed robbery nolle prossed because the victim was afraid to come to court.
