  3. Judge Rothenberg, welcome to De La O's hell. Hahahaha.

  4. JQC complaint, although a bit long in the tooth, is actually well written.

Wonder what the "someone should investigate, file a JQC complaint" crowd on this blog is thinking about it.

    confused on your position

  6. Out of curiosity, I looked at the Christian Family Coalition website. Our new judges elect were present and took some quite interesting photos: Victoria Del Pino, Gloria Gonzalez-Meyer, Tony Marin, and Patty Marino-Pedraza. Very interesting indeed.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Oh, and Marisa Tinkler Mendez was at the Christian breakfast too.

    ReplyDelete
  8. what is the point? JQC all of them?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Marissa has not supported the CFC pledge and she is endorsed by SaveDade and ORJ.

    ReplyDelete
  10. OH JESUS CHRIST!

    just kidding

    ReplyDelete
  11. Well then, I guess Save Dade should be made aware that Marissa was a speaker at the Christian Family Coalition breakfast for candidates they endorsed. See the picture for yourself. Oh and by the way, the fact that Operation Restore Justice endorsed her means shit.

    ReplyDelete
  12. oh get over it already.

  13. 11:56 or should we say Ms. Parks, tad bit upset with he who shall not be named.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Cathy Parks is getting desperate and we're beginning to see her true colors. She has gotten so few endorsements because she doesn't merit them. The Herald saw it, so do the others. I wouldn't vote for her to be dogcatcher.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I heard Cathy had some legal malpractice problems, is it true?

    ReplyDelete
  16. wow girls. neither one of you should be a circuit court judge. both of you are below average lawyers and both of you seem to be fucking crazy. people, do not vote in this race.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Michelle Towbin doesn't deserve to be a judge b/c she was soooo lazy as a pd. And none too bright, either.

    ReplyDelete
  18. she was indeed-lazy. and she dressed like a bag lady in court.

    ReplyDelete
  19. towbin shouldnt be a judge. she dont know how the game is supposed to be played. sometimes a man just got to take the years.

All in the game yo, all in the game.

  20. ALL RISE.....

    Let us pray.

First case on the arraignment calendar....

  21. Note to Parks and Mendez supporters (collectively): keep your nasty comments off the blog. You only contribute to the negative campaigning and are, therefore, destroying your candidate's image...

I would say my comment applies more to Parks supporters as they seem to blog more frequently and post more venomous comments (without supporting their somments with any facts).

It does not behoove your candidate when you negative campaign on their behalf.

    ReplyDelete
  22. "somments with any facts"?

You mean comments with any facts.

    Let us pray.

    I agree with this post!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hey Blumberg, you sould consider moderation again. Maybe this way the we can all stick to the subject and not have your subject turned around to be a Parks and Mendez battle. Parks supporter will start something and those that read what gets posted come out on defense for Mendez. Can you do something about this. So the subject does not get changed to TysonParks & TysonMendez! Thanks

  28. How stupid do you have to be with all the grief the media gave her in 2004 and the CFC pledge. That three months before her first merit retention she places herself at a CFC event as a speaker.

What is running through Rothenbergs mind! Bad, Bad Judgement !!!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. The CFC falls under this ethic opinion. hey orj check it out

    Opinion Number: 2002-14
Date of Issue: June 28, 2002

JUDGE PARTICIPATING IN AN INDEPENDENT, STATE-REGISTERED AND REGULATED, POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE

    ISSUES

WHETHER A CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE MAY PARTICIPATE IN AN INDEPENDENT, STATE-REGISTERED, AND REGULATED, POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE.

ANSWER: No. Because the committee is political in nature, does not relate to the improvement of the law, the legal system and the administration of justice, a judge's participation is proscribed by Canon 5C.

    ReplyDelete
  30. For anyone who thinks Marissa Mendez is supporting the Christian Family Coalition because she attended the event talked about here, I tell you this paste this link and you will see that she did the right thing and "RTR" "Refused to Sign" the hateful pledge CFC asked her to sign.

    http://www.mdccc.org/PAGES/VoterGuides/PDF%20Guides/Miami-Dade%20County.pdf

You may know that Judge Leifman, Judge B. Miller and Judge Elect Faber also "RTR" this hateful pledge.

Ms. Mendez opposition Ms. Parks you will see on the link not only signed the pledge but she backed the CFC cause and agenda.

In the Sept 5, election the only Judge that really stuck it to the CFC was Judge Mills, she had the guts and character to respond and say "yes" to allowing gay Judges to have equal rights and "yes" to gay rights. Judge Karen Mills Francis was re-elected by a huge margin. While I like the Judges that RTR "refused to answer" CFC I truly liked Judge Mills response.

  31. I'm confused. All the crucifying of Brummer all this time and not one mention of Gabe Martin's suspension from the bar? At least none that I can find? Whatever you may think of Bennett, at least he didn't conspire to steal almost 9 million dollars! Way to go Gabe!

    ReplyDelete
  32. re-post the link to the suspension order of gabe from the supreme court web site.

  35. A bit much, don't you think??

Boynton Beach man has been sentenced in a Miami courtroom to 30 months in prison for making a hoax distress call to the U.S. Coast Guard about a boat with nine people aboard sinking in the Atlantic Ocean.

U.S. District Judge Joan Lenard also ordered Robert Moran, 45, on Monday to pay the government $347,015 for the two-day search-and-rescue operation in response to his June 11 call.

Moran pleaded guilty in August to placing a false distress call. The call Moran allegedly made to a Coast Guard unit based in Miami Beach claimed five adults and four children were aboard a 33-foot-long boat named Blue Sheep that began taking on water and sinking near the Boynton Beach Inlet.

The massive search -- aircraft, helicopters and vessels from multiple agencies -- found nothing during nearly two days of combing 1,000-square miles of ocean and cost the public in excess of $347,000, authorities said.

Prosecutor Thomas Watts-FitzGerald said the search effort was particularly dangerous because of the darkness and stormy weather conditions.

Defense lawyer Benjamin Fernandez called his client's action ``a crude attempt at a very foolish act that Mr. Moran has great remorse for.''

  36. Gabe Martin is nothing but a crooked two bit thief greedy ass scumbag. I hate to dance on his grave, but its time for a change...of plea. He's going to fed prison.

    ReplyDelete
  37. No, 30 months is not too much. You think the Coast Guard has nothing better to do than spend 2 days responding to a hoax? He got what he deserved and the message to the community is simple, but important: be stupid, go to prison for a long enough time that it'll hurt.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Gabe is not the Public Defender. He is not an elected official, he is just a lawyer out the the real world trying to earn a buck. His above critics have just committed slander. He did not steal any money. He started a title company and his trust account was used improperly. There is no allegation by the bar of co mingled funds. Does he have a problem? Yes. The bar are very difficult people to deal with. But you people are weak lawyers who could never make it in private practice. Not beacause your not a good enought lawyer but because you are afraid to take a chance in life. As for Gabe, he has shown tramendous fortitide. He got the news of his suspension during a 2 month trial and has to finish the trial before he can defend the charges against himself. That takes strenth. You would wilt away if you had to deal with that type of stress.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think you mean libel...

    ReplyDelete
  40. He can't defend the charges against himself because he is suspended.

    ReplyDelete
  41. regarding 1:43 -
I understand that you'd like to defend your "friend" but if you read the petition from the Bar documenting what the FBI agent says, you'll see that Gabe had numerous opportunities to respond and was in violation of a subpeona duces tecum (and still is apparently). He also "defended himself" by denying any knowledge. Sounds like your information is incorrect.... Lonnie, is that you????

    ReplyDelete
  42. Don't commit a crime or exhibit a reckless appearance of impropriety and you would not have to defend yourself. The above post is almost like the family of a defendant in a homicide giving the person credit for his/her ability to "demonstrate great fortitude during this trying time."

    relax . . .

    ReplyDelete
  43. Could someone post or direct us to the Bar petition so we could all read it? Our experience (not personal thank goodness) is that the Bar issues emergency suspensions when an attorney does not respond to a subpoena. Now maybe Mr. Martin didn't respond becuase he was in trial. Lord knows that when we are in trial nothing else in our tiny little cube called an office gets done. At this point it might be a little premature to pound on Mr. Martin. On the other hand, when you put yourself in the public eye as Mr. Martin did, you are held to a higher standard and the critics tend to swarm out of the woodwork at the first hint of a problem.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Lonnie you still there?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Check out the Supreme Ct. Website for Case No. SC06-1932.

  46. is bad as lonnie is, warren- you are worse!

In this case the critics are career long government lawyers who thought they would be fired by Gabe(a nobody)and loose their million dollar pensions and their 100k per hour fees that they collect every year from BHB. Now, if I were in their position, which I am not, I would be very happy at the idea that Gabe has apparently fallen from being a threat in 08. You gotta love welfare state.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I don't have a million dollar pension and I don't get 100k per hour fees - and I think it's poetic justice. We should all dance on his grave!

    ReplyDelete
  49. yes you do warren. and if you don't, your not far off.

    ReplyDelete
  50. why is it so bad that gabe ran against brummer?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Dance on his grave? My boy ain't dead yet. See, if it happened to you, you would be dead because your a weak government hack. Gabe is a big fat cuban who can take some punches.
    p.s.
Your a public defender, don't the teach you about the concept of due process in Rory's training program?

    ReplyDelete
  52. BHB - you may be "dancin" right now, but mark my words someone is going to run against you - it's the american way, you don't have
    a right to your position.

It apparently won't be Gabe, but
I think enough people now realize
    that you're administration is out
to lunch, that someone else will
throw the old hat in the ring.

    ReplyDelete
  53. To 4:42 -

A clue: I'm not warren - although I do consider him a friend.

To the rest, I am a "government hack" by choice b/c I believe in helping people - not shaking down PCAC clients like Gabe did in Scola's division or charging $5500 for PTI like he did last week in another. The "Gabe people" always knew everything - no one could tell them any different. Now that your fearless leader has gone down in flames, I'm sure the rest of you are not far behind.

    Final point:
Rory's training program is excellent. If you ever had a conversation with him you would be awed at his legal knowledge and ability to teach others. I know none of you did b/c I was around to witness it. Too bad none of you would participate in the training program - you may not be in this predicament had you done so.

I'm so happy!!! Gabe is a big fat CROOK and now everyone knows.

    ReplyDelete
  54. And I believe the Bar, the Florida Supreme Court, and the FBI b/c I knew Gabe, know you all, and I KNOW the kind of "lawyers" that you are. B/c of that kind of personal insight, no presumption of innocence is needed. No problems, you can strike me for cause from the jury venire.....

    ReplyDelete
  55. calm down- all of you. gabe is a harmless guy, he is not a criminal. and rory is a smart lawyer and in his day an able trial lawyer. to wish that other members of the bar would get arrested silly.

    ReplyDelete
  56. BHB forever long live the King!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  57. And I thought we had it bad at the SAO. Brummer a king? Of what, indigent representation? What a joke. The state atty's office and the pdo's office used to be a places to get trial expierence. Now they seem to be places for true believers to graze.
