  2. I understand the players, owners and coaches being happy. But what did we win? Everyone else is so excited. What for? Because a team a players from across the country were put together under the name miami all us folks residing here did something to celebrate? We warmed our asses on couch and drank beer and watch a group of people under the name miami win a game. Oh yeah, way to go couch potatoes your a big winner. Your a better couch potato than the other people who saw their team lose.

  4. i agree with t.p. and took the opportunity to go to my favorite restaurant. walked right in no wait that night. they may be good players but i got to know some in college and they were mostly losers in all other aspects. i'll cheer the researcher who finds a cure to something instead of some overpaid jocks

  5. Did the Florida Bar and Commission on Ethics get on Phil R. and Jackie W. for making such a stupid call to Chambers? He must be about to get reprimanded or something.

  6. Juan, quite posting old news paper articles about yourself.

  7. "quite" or "quit"?

Darin, you need to get your GED as soon as possible.

  8. There are quite a few great stories of sacrifice and dedication in this Miami Heat team. Payton, Mourning, JWill, all taking a lot less money to get their rings. And Udonis Haslem, undrafted Miami kid from UF, being the star of game 6! This is not the time for haters. We should all be proud of the incredible dedication and hard work this team has shown. Basketball is watched all over the world. Miami is a Championship city in the eyes of the world!

  9. Regarding all this bullshit of D'Arce, Reizenstein, Judicial Candidates, and gossip about other Judges, Prosecutors and Defense Attorneys, there must be a more constructive method of contributing to improving things at MJB and for criminal clients and the administration of justice. With all of the gossip and jealousy and bad feelings around MJB, whatever semblance of honor and dedication, and yes, soul we had left is further brought down by this free-for-all of a highschoolish cliqueish rag.

  10. T.P. has it all wrong. If you love Miami then you gotta love the fact that the Heat are World Champs.

  14. In response to 10:31 asking if I or Jackie Woodward have been reprimanded for calling Judge Hernandez’s chambers, please be advised of the following: 1) There is no accusation Jackie Woodward called anyone. 2) Mr. D’Arce, who showed up at my house screaming and yelling that I did not return his phone calls, alleged that I called him. Outside of Mr. D’Arce’s fanciful imagination and propensity for threatening judges and attorneys, there really is no proof of anything other than Mr. D’Arce coming to my home in some delusional state and screaming that that people thought he was writing this blog and that the FDLE was going to arrest him for it. I know, despite the fact that truly horrible things have been said about me and my family on these pages, that people think I write this blog. So be it; it is difficult to prove a negative. But does anybody in their right mind believe D’Arce is behind this blog?
In any event, as far as I know, no one has filed any complaint against me or Jackie Woodward.

  15. Good things you want? How about Judge Blake & F.A.C.D.L.-Miami working to make the REG a free wireless hotspot so you can use your laptops in the building?

How about F.A.C.D.L.-Miami working with Judge Gill Freeman to move law books into the attorney's lounge to help with last minute research?

How about F.A.C.D.L.'s work to ensure payment of court-appointed attorney's fees?

And how about the work of Hersch, Catalano & Arias on the Muldowny issue? Even though some judges did not see the (infrared) light, they worked their butts off!

It sounds like some people are doing good things in the building!

  16. Who ever said this blog was to make things better that the justice building? its just a sounding board for people who work there.

I look forward to celebrating tomorrow with the rest of the TRUE HEAT FANS at the parade on BB. Riley and SHAQ made a promise and they kept their promise.

  21. Of course she will be walking with a cane after getting her butt beaten this upcoming election. She needs to go and hide back at the FSU, and do paralegal work.

  22. Like Shaq said he would bring the Championship to Miami, I predict that McWhorter will be working with KFR in 2007.

    Go Heat! Go Patti!

  28. Mike Catalano is a great attorney and you guys are jealous. He wins, does not kiss ass, and most of all tells you what he thinks. Don't hate him because he knows Patricia Marino-Pedraza is going to get "Judge Dredd McWhorter" off the bench and back to personality and fashion school or something. They are doing our community a big favor. Remember this prediction: Marino-Peraza will get 61% of the vote and McWhorter will get 38%.

    Marc Anthony has spoken.

  29. So many people criticize Michael Catalano, but yet many of them call the office asking for advice on how to proceed on certain issues. More than a good attorney, he also helps his colleagues with their cases.
Also, Michael, Hersch and Maggie did a great job with the Muldowny hearing. So please, before you criticize Michael, look and see what have you done for everyone else. My guess will be..NOTHING!

  30. Patti, your fundraiser was very nice....a good time was had by all. Keep up the good work and we will all see you in the county court bench very soon. Thank You, and thanks to your commitee for putting the event together.

  31. Thank you for the prediction Mike!

Remember this prediction: Marino-Peraza will get 61% of the vote and McWhorter will get 38%.

  32. Has anyone seen McWhorter's campaign literature? What does it state and is her picture on it?

  33. Cathy Parks has not only Heat, but also Marlin AND Dolphin season tickets. Name another candidate who has this! I vote for people who work with and serve the community!!
