How should one play Nvidia in light of the earnings call today after the market closes with CEO Jensen Huang.
We know Nvidia has fallen post earnings five of the last six quarters. We also know Nvidia will beat expectations and raise guidance. But here is what the market will be looking at. Are Nvidia's investments in their customers circular financing- meaning they are loaning money to their customers to buy their chips? Or is Jensen creating a new equity market for his company?
Our take is it is the latter, and it will not matter. (And we like to rhyme, most of the time).
Nvidia will most likely fall tomorrow as per the put/call ratio we are seeing. And then over the next year it will rise. Most analysts have a price of +300 on the stock currently trading around 210. Rumpole says "buy Nvidia, don't trade it."
So keep your powder dry today and be a buyer tomorrow, next week, and next month. And while you're at it look at the Yahoo/Finance piece on AMD with the headline that it "may rip up 40%..." . Just sayin...
Meanwhile, the Fins RBArchane is a good first round pick, as is Cardinal's rookie RB Love, and a few other bangers. In our expert opinion do not go WR until rounds 2-3 and QB rounds 4-5-6.

ReplyDeleteyour thoughts on Judges who are all over social media blasting their selfies and photos each day on exotic trips, at parties, at Michelin restaurants and drinking champagne at lunch, etc.
Each day these “celebrity” judges think they are influencers.
It’s getting nauseating seeing the self promotion of Judges.
I think it is nauseating to see jurists partying and being so egotistical, showing off their wealth and bragging about their homes, trips, handbags and lifestyles.
You would not see Moreno, Wetherington, Morphonios or Robinette doing this.

DeleteIt’s disturbing and a bit ironic considering they all need a gym and a proper make up artist. The wealthiest judges and the ones that actually work the hardest, do not flaunt their wealth or take selfies.

ReplyDeleteCan you do the numbers of future earnings being 15% higher just on paper based upon a price increase? Their earnings are hundred and hundreds of billions each quarter already!
Demand for Nvidia data center buildouts are through the ceiling. Their most advanced semiconductor products are in demand and orders are 3 years out. They can’t produce enough to meet demand.
Moreover once those orders are delivered, they will invent, produce and sell a smaller, cooler, faster and way more advanced product that hyperscalers will replace their data center buildouts.
This is a once in a century buy and long term investment. It’s our generation’s only investment to make in order to provide us financial freedom until our last breath.
Our heirs are blessed by what we do right now with our money.
Remember that savings is different than investing.

ReplyDeleteOn the Clancy trial, I would have liked to see how many strong Catholics are on the jury. Without that it is more difficult to predict. But I see a HUNG JURY or at best for the Commonwealth a conviction on lesser included as a compromise.
