There's a new poll saying that, overwhelmingly, Americans want upper age limits for Senators and Representatives, some want term limits too. They are right, and Rumpole is showing wisdom by recognizing that it is time for new blood in the role, if it is to continue. I have seen several important institutions suffer from failure to replace aging and/or non-healthy in a timely fashion. Florida Lawyers Assistance, Inc., is one of them.
There are many great future bloggers. It should be a true trial lawyer with lots of respect.
