Good morning. Monday is a rare snow day for NYC public schools as nor'easter blizzard slams the eastern seaboard.
Here in South Florida the nation holds its collective breath as we struggle with temps that are dipping into the low 60s-high 50's. But we are resilient.
People who don't know a blue line from a blue moon are celebrating the USA Hockey Team's overtime gold medal win over Canada. If you were watching the game Sunday morning, that group of fans arriving late in the third period with American flags draped over them was the Miami contingent.
Stocks are mostly flat in pre-morning activity as the world digests the new tantrum-tariffs and China announced the awarding of their nation's highest medal (The People's Hunter-Biden Laptop Medal) to Justices Roberts, Gorsuch and Coney-Barrett for service to the People above and beyond the call of duty.
Next up on the High Court's docket- the decision on whether the President can lawfully order the deportation of Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook to South Sudan; whether the president can rename the Washington Monument, the Library Of Congress, Central Park and the Grand Canyon after himself; and whether the president can force Greenland to reimburse the tariffs the US illegally collected?
Miami Practice Tip Reminder: Include those certifications about whether you've used AI or not in your pleadings. Query: does this apply to the SAO's discovery responses? And if they don't include the certification can you move to strike their witness list?
Hey boys are we still “winning at all cost”?
ReplyDeleteHey Rump. This question is a little late but how was the Dry January experiment? I did it 2 times in the past starting the first of January and actually holding out thru Valentine"s Day. I found it to be easier than I thought it would be. I enjoy inbibing when I don't have work responsibilities, or need to drive, etc. I would stop permanently if I had a medical issue that required me to do so, but I wouldn.t do the Dry January again.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the question. I’m still dry. January was a bit bumpy because I had some long rough days. But I stuck it out. And once I did the thought of alcohol sort of turned my stomach. Now I’m doing 24 hour fasts twice a week. Monday’s and Thursday’s. Just water coffee and tea. I do add a dollop of honey to the teas and coffees and add a teaspoon of Himalayan pink salt with 14 oz of water once a day during the fast.
ReplyDeleteI've tried the dry run. I find that I thank myself every morning when I wake up.
DeleteRumpy:
ReplyDeleteAny comment on our own FBI Director Kash Patel flying to Italy on taxpayer’s dime (quite a few of them, since he flies on a special, private U.S. jet) to watch and then party with the USA Men’s Ice Hockey team? I wonder if he is joining the team at E11ven tonight.
Trump continues to troll Canada over their hockey loss. Its embarrassing having this man run our country. Looking forward to his SOTU address, let's see how long it takes him to go off script and ramble on about nonsense and state false things.
ReplyDeleteThe honey defeats the fast’s purpose. You need autophagy Rumpole. Read Dr. David Sinclair’s longevity studies with mice at Harvard Medical School.
ReplyDeleteI’ve read several books on fasting and autophagy. Who do you think you’re talking to, a judge ? I think defeat is too harsh a word but yes I agree that as I continue this journey the honey 🍯 should be avoided.
DeleteRumpole Wellness! I’m for it.
ReplyDeleteSAO ethics training?
ReplyDeleteYou left out that the loser of the Olympic games has to go meet Trump. Luckily both our hockey teams won.
ReplyDeleteDo you think that sacrificing protein for a middle aged male is relevant when one considers a 48 or 72 hour fast Rumpole? Risk versus benefit analysis for losing muscle?
ReplyDeleteThere is no one size fits all solution to many things in life, diet included. For me I need to severely restrict animal protein intake so I feel better and do better eating veggies and carbs like rice and potatoes (yes white potatoes oooo run away screaming in fear). I think for many a high fat and protein diet can be helpful. For me it’s not. I’ll have noodles and snow peas for lunch and a bean soup and baked potato for dinner and be very happy. My body chemistry including A1C, cholesterol, Triglycerides and the newest cardio markers are all excellent.
DeleteDieting requires “winning at all cost”
DeleteDieting is unethical.
DeleteAll plants have protein. Nothing that comes from an animal has fiber. Feed your gut microbiome, people.
ReplyDeletePlants “win at all cost”
DeleteYou can lose weight but you have to “win at all cost”
ReplyDeleteHow is your APO A and B Rumpole. Give us transparency. And your A1C that you mentioned?
ReplyDeleteIs anyone running against Stuzin? Asking for a friend.
ReplyDeleteI marveled at the women's hockey team' clearly the best team in the world; head and shoulders above the rest of the competition.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the men's team's game too. But, then, they went Trumpanista! Fuck those guys.
Trump derangement syndrome
