On August 28, 2018, voters in Miami-Dade County head to the polls for the "Primary" election of Judges in our County. The more important date for our readers to watch though is May 4, 2018, the deadline for qualifying to run for Circuit and County Court.***

  1. One fucking expensive season. I'm getting killed over here.

  2. Elections for judicial races are an outrage. These judges are almost all broke and afraid so what better way to get a favorable ruling then to raise a Judge ten grand. For such a staunchly conservative group who regulate the Florida bar, they allow a free for all in this space.

  3. That is $500 from all of you to each. Good luck trying to make any money at law next year. Not too late to apply to Stanford MBA program.

Get out of that asbestos filled sick building, with all of the stress, back stabbing ... and maybe one or two real friends — and move out of that hell hole. Colorado? Albuquerque?

Do it before you get too old to enjoy.

Remember — practicing law is debilitating on your health. The stress you have on your body is worse than smoking 3 packs a day.

It is YOUR choice to be happy and live the life you want to live.

At least book a week at the POST RANCH INN in Big Sur or at AUNERGE DU SOLEIL in the Napa Valley. “Get the Couples massage, Valley view suite and eat at Michelin starred restaurants once in your lives.”

  4. So sad that Judge Korvick is retiring. She was always so kind, so sweet, great patience, fun in court, soft spoken and always was prepared to rule based upon her vast knowledge of the law.

  5. 2:50 PM. I detect a hint of sarcasm in your comment. No?

  6. Lawyers ought not attend fund-raisers or make contributions to judges who do not draw opposition. The parading of judge candidates at fund-raising cocktail parties is unattractive. Only if an incumbent is challenged, should the money machine turn on.

  7. The group 79 candidate is Joseph David Perkins, not David Perkins.

  8. Rumor is that Mike Catalano is running against Renee Gordon.

  9. Why he needs to try elsewhere

  10. OK, so a little birdie told me that Rothenberg is going to retire from the 3D and that the fix is in to put Hanzman on the 3D. Heaven help us if Hanzman gets on the 3D. Same birdie says that whoever runs against Hanzman for his circuit seat will be a friend of his who gets to coast in. Think anyone will go up against Hanzman's deep pockets?
