  2. Voted for del rey. Captains story about bloch being worth 36 million yet refusing to self fund his campaign rubs me the wrong way.

  3. How about the PD in Missouri appointing the Gov. on an assault case. Pretty classic move.

  4. What about former Public Corruption ASA turned judicial candidate who is on the list of a "boletera"? From the article discussing why State Attorney not initially willing to investigate: "Can you imagine that? Are they that short-staffed at public corruption or are they just lazy?" I'm going with short-staffed.

  6. Dear 7:58,

One aspect of getting folks to contribute to your campaign is that they then become invested in it. The act of giving money ties them to you in a unique and different way. Donor are much more active, they talk you up, they want you to win, they are on your side with a passion and fervor that those who have not given money can't feel.

Those black-robed bastards passed a rule that says they can't donate to campaigns. You can give them a grand, but when you ask for fifty bucks for the dogcatcher race, they say, "sorry, the cannons." We need to tweak that rule, we need to make it a violation for them to take money from lawyers - and our families. "Sorry old bean, I'd like to give you money, but, you know, the Cannons."

But, don't fault the player, fault the game.

  7. Yes, vote for del rey because you're jealous Bloch has money. Let's elect someone who lied about being a prosecutor and continues to lie to the public.

  9. Stop talking so much BS about Jason Bloch. Look how well he did in the CUBAN bar poll compared to the other judges in REG. The first number is the % of lawyers who thought the judge was Exceptionally Qualified, Second number is Qualified, and third number is UNQUALIFIED.

He's in the top third (and, of course the top two are CUBAN judges). Would you like to know Marcia del Rey's results? 7/25/68. This is in a CUBAN bar poll.

Here are all the results for REG:

    1. De La O 75/24/1
    2. Ruiz 69/26/5
    3. Walsh 66/29/5
    4. Sayfie 60/29/11
    5. Johnson 59/36/5
    6. Colodny 55/41/4
    7. Hersch 52/45/3
    8. Hirsch 52/35/13
    9. Bloch 48/36/16
    10. Tinkler-Mendez 47/46/7
    11. Millan 43/38/19
    12. Murphy 42/47/11

  10. Not jealous Bloch has money (well, ok I am). But having 37 mill and not self funding a little judge race is disturbing. Doesn't mean I'm voting for the girl who lied about about her previous Asa experience. I guess I'm naively hoping a real candidate jumps in. She's a liar, he's an average judge at best. Hate to see our judiciary go as low as Broward.

  11. The TRIALMASTER apologizes. Didn't know Bloch had 37mm. Its impressive he wants to go to that pit and work everyday. Although he has yet to prove he is a "TAMER" he is much better qualified than his opponent . He has my vote.
