Likewise for longer special sets that require the Court to dig into a long record and ask questions of the lawyers (learn to screen share effectively - use multiple screens and only put up one of them so that you can work off screen while sharing one thing at a time).<br /><br />Motions to dismiss (which are limited to the 4 corners) and summary judgment motions (which are limited to the timely filed record) don't need hearings at all. Or if they do, Zoom. <br /><br />99% of civil appeals don't need oral argument.
