She doesn't hang out with everyone, eats a small lunch at her desk, sometimes an apple or a pear and yogurt and chips, and gets in early and works until about sixish (I usually leave at 530 but I've bumped into her in the elevator at 6). I applaud her bravery and chutzpah in getting rumpole to let her blog (#letthegirlblog, right?) and I think people should stop getting so up in arms about a young woman who enjoys her life and blogs about what interests her. I'd like to have a daughter who saves her money to buy a first edition of Obama's Dreams book, rather than a daughter who blows 600 bucks at a club on a bottle of vodka. At dinner time we had a choice, being quizzed on Shakespeare and poetry, or being quizzed on military history. I was usually outvoted so I had to adapt. As to steak, I just like it. I also like seafood, not so much chicken, and lots of fresh veggies and crisp, cold salads. Sometimes I'll do a week juice fast. And I run. I ran through central park every day I was in NYC. It was amazing. Glorious watching the sun peak above the high-rises as I ran. And there are a million-zillion breakfast places serving all sorts of healthy breakfast juices, smoothies, and breakfast grains near the park catering to runners and early morning work out gurus. I also saw a few bootcamps in the park, two yoga groups, and other various exercise groups. My hotel actually sponsored one, but I opted for running. I like the solitary feeling of running in the morning. I feel like a cruiser on dawn patrol breaking quite, calm waters.

Anything else you want to know? So cool. Over 1000 pages. Will keep me occupied a month. Also a signed copy of Hillary's book and the same of Obama's Dreams from My Father (not cheap for a signed first edition but totally worth it!).

Also hit some vinyl stores and nabbed some lps.
