And so, this is the time of year when ASAs resign in bulk. The leadership in the office has been in transition for about the last 36 mos and more to come. Arrojo & Esther Jacobo left, both perhaps more accessible and reasonable than others, Howard Rosen is out the door in a couple of mos as he pensions out, and Don Horn follows Rosen as another forced state retirement just after. KFR will be going into her next election - yes she will run again and win again absent a health crisis or death - with 4 of 5 Chief Assistants hired or promoted since 2018. But the machine will go on and a steady stream of young lawyers will apply and get hired - just like over at the PDs office. If you talk to insiders and they are willing to speak to you honestly the biggest morale problem in the office for years has been the so-called "employment lawyer" who knows nothing about criminal law or running an office but inserts herself - and is allowed to do so by KFR - into just about every executive decision, Lorna Salomon. To quote the Don in Pizzi's Honor: "She gotta go." If your side is that people are quitting because of the stress it places on their health to go to REG in person, please do explain.

Not even being sarcastic, I want to hear about that.

Whenever Ive gone in-person almost all the ASAs are on zoom. How is that managed? Is it by division? You post about ...This post is completely one-sided. You post about a pandemic, yet fail to take into account that the dozen of “eggs” you refer to have their own personal reasons and struggles to manage throughout what you’ve called an unmanageable pandemic. Please be mindful. People aren’t just leaving the state because of one or two supervisors. People have serious health risks physical and mental that they have to battle and endure every day that some of the lucky ones much like yourself don’t ever have to encounter when just zooming in to court from the comforts of your home. ASAs are literally working on the frontlines - at least those that have been working. It takes a toll on people. So go rant over how Desantis is impacting schools, yourself, etc., but don’t forget there are human beings also facing the same struggles on the other side of the podiums. Who show up every day. For the victims and for the public.

It’s not a laughing matter. It’s a serious public health crisis that doesn’t even have clear federal guidance. As for “state” guidance, I presume you already know.
