Pot? Meet Kettle. The fact is that she is the ONLY one of the four that has EVER had any executive experience. You don't get to take on your own party, become Governor, and get an 85% approval rating for no reason. When has Obama EVER made a difficult decision, or EVER made a sacrifice for the benefit of his country or, for that matter, for anything? He is a total empty suit, nothing but rhetorical flourish with zero substance. He is a socialist in the mold of Lenin, Castro, or Mao. If this country entrusts the mantles of governance with Obama, we are in deep trouble. At least we picked the less experienced candidate for our VP pick, instead of the Presidential nominee.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19039943.post-10083246685837861922008-10-23T20:05:00.000-04:002008-10-23T20:05:00.000-04:00So you prefer a candidate that had approximately 1...So you prefer a candidate that had approximately 166 days of previous job experience before he decided that he was due a promotion?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19039943.post-79979815325976814332008-10-22T14:20:00.000-04:002008-10-22T14:20:00.000-04:00to anonymous at 2:25 p.m. - This fight is not betw...to anonymous at 2:25 p.m. - This fight is not between W and Obama. This is Obama and McCain, an individual that has much more than simple intellect. He actually has experience. By the way, even if W was a "legacy" admission at Yale, who's to say that Obama's admission wasn't a product of affirmative action?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19039943.post-27294903811649235522008-10-21T14:25:00.000-04:002008-10-21T14:25:00.000-04:00W was a legacy admission at Yale and was at best a...W was a legacy admission at Yale and was at best a mediocre student. I don't think you can seriously question that Barack Obama is intelligent and if you are counting Palin's "executive" experience when you say she has more than Barack, than she also has more than McCain. Palin may or may not be smart, but she is clearly unprepared and was chosen by McCain as a stunt to try to steal some thunder from the Dems after their convention. What does it say about "Country First" McCain that he would pick someone that even intellectual Republicans agree isn't prepared to be President should something happen to McCain?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19039943.post-86741581019389754822008-10-21T12:41:00.000-04:002008-10-21T12:41:00.000-04:00W went to Harvard or Yale or bothW went to Harvard or Yale or bothAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19039943.post-71268099415246058012008-10-20T20:37:00.000-04:002008-10-20T20:37:00.000-04:006:15 -Remember that your audience in a court room ...6:15 -

Remember that your audience in a court room is comprised of 6 people who couldn't get out of jury duty.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19039943.post-41950779246111666392008-10-20T19:46:00.000-04:002008-10-20T19:46:00.000-04:00like Obama or not, it's tough to call a former edi...like Obama or not, it's tough to call a former editor of harvard law review "not intellectual". I finished law school only a few years ago, and I remember in my litigation skills class the professor telling me to "dumb down" my language otherwise the jurors wouldn't be able to follow.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19039943.post-56750518222132481152008-10-20T17:14:00.000-04:002008-10-20T17:14:00.000-04:00While I agree with the points with regards to Bush...While I agree with the points with regards to Bush, we have to keep in mind that Barack Obama has a lot less experience than Sarah Palin but he is the top part of the ticket. What's good for the goose is good for the gander, and Obama is no intellectual either. He's just good joining words and phrases together, but if you listen carefully to his speeches, you won't hear a lot of substance.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19039943.post-29864941607397457302008-10-20T09:02:00.000-04:002008-10-20T09:02:00.000-04:00LUNCHTIME SEMINAR SERIES #3DHSMV FORMAL REVIEW HEA...LUNCHTIME SEMINAR SERIES #3

DHSMV FORMAL REVIEW HEARING, APPEALS AND ASSOCIATED ISSUES BY MICHAEL A. CATALANO AND THE NEW ADVOCATE ON LINE SYSTEM FOR DEFENSE LAWYERS BY GARY CHAPEL

We continue our FREE Lunchtime Seminar Series on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at NOON at the Dade County P.D.'s office in the Brummer Building. Our third seminar is called DHSMV Formal Review Hearing, Appeals and Associated Issues presented by our own Michael Catalano. Joining Michael will be Gary Chapel from The Advocate Program.

This is all about DHSMV formal review hearings, what works, what doesn’t, how to handle the Trauth/Llamas issues and how to appeal and even get DHSMV to pay your legal bill. This will be presented by Michael A. Catalano, the lawyer who successfully argued all the Trauth/Llamas cases. The last part of the seminar will be a brief overview of a new on-line system being developed by the Advocate Program in Miami to allow defense attorneys to see the details of how their clients are doing. That will be presented by Gary Chapell, M.S. Division Director of the Advocate Program DUI school. The system is new and may not be up and running at the time of the seminar but, Advocate wants to start now with showing lawyers how it will work.

If you handle DUI cases, you should not miss this seminar. If you handle County Court matters or anything that entails using The Advocate Program, you should not miss this seminar.

Just like our first two Seminars, this one is also FREE. The seminar will include lunch (sandwich, side dish and a drink), CLE credit and course materials. Here is the catch - you must reserve your spot for the seminar with a $15 check payable to FACDL-Miami by mailing in the check to BETTY LLORENTE (not Sheryl Lowenthal), at 12925 SW 132nd Street, Suite 5, Building 7, Miami, FL 33186. Please indicate DHSMV Seminar on your check. When you arrive at the Seminar, your check will be torn up. The seminar is FREE for the first 50 members that mail in their checks and show up; all other members will pay the $15 and we will keep those checks. With the help of Carlos Martinez and the PD’s crack technology staff, this year our Seminars will be videotaped and catalogued. Please mail your checks in today.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19039943.post-49385108778012559562008-10-20T08:59:00.000-04:002008-10-20T08:59:00.000-04:00MONTHLY JUDICIAL LUNCHEON SERIES #2LUNCH WITH A JU...MONTHLY JUDICIAL LUNCHEON SERIES #2
LUNCH WITH A JUDGE
(LAST CHANCE - YOU MUST CALL JUDE TODAY)

Our Luncheon Series continues on Thursday, October 23, 2008 when Judges Bertila Soto and Reemberto Diaz (AND/OR Diane Ward) join us for lunch.

The Luncheon begins at Noon and goes until about 1:30 and takes place at the Biscayne Bay Marriott located at 1633 North Bayshore Drive (behind the old Omni).
